Wedding Feature: The Jenkins

With the Jenkins' 6 month wedding anniversary, we thought it was about time that we share some details from their gorgeous wedding day with you.

After spending the longest time trying to figure out the best way to tell you all about Caitlin's and Chris' special day, we finally decided that no one can tell their love story better than they can!

Let's get to know Caitlin and Chris and get some pretty beautiful wedding inspo along the way. 💫

Chris & Caitlin Jenkins

February 15, 2020

How did you meet?

  • It was a modern love story that started on Bumble hah. Our first date was in Houston at a tapas restaurant, Adalucias, with live flamenco dancers to fill any awkward silences of a first date. However, we both went to Baylor University at the same time and shared some friends but did not meet during our undergraduate years.

Tell us about the proposal!

  • Chris proposed to Caitlin on July 20, 2019 in Wimberly. TX at a winery called Driftwood Winery. The view of the Texas hill country was gorgeous! Chris always knows how to keep Caitlin on her toes. He took her to Driftwood Winery, where he planned to propose, around 1:30pm and the sun was too harsh for his liking. She had her hopes up REAL high and then after enjoying the winery for a bit, he said "well where to next?" They went off to another winery and Caitlin was so sad it hadn't happened. Chris saw it all over her face haha...he then took Caitlin back to Driftwood Winery right before the sun set, asked a random couple to take a video and got down on his knee. It was perfect!

For the bride:

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

  • I love spending Saturdays with friends whether it is out by the pool, on a lake, skiing with friends or just going to dinner with good people, I am a happy girl!

What do you love most about your husband?

  • I love that he puts Jesus first and that he always makes me laugh. Whether it is his crazy dance moves, singing his own lyrics, or goofy jokes, he keeps a smile on my face!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

  • There were so many moments that I loved on our wedding day! I would have to say my absolute favorite was walking down the aisle of the incredibly gorgeous Deep in the Heart Farms chapel. Being arm in arm with my dad while my uncle played “So Will I” by Hillsong Worship on his violin as I walked towards my handsome husband surrounded by so many people that we both love was so special! That song has so much meaning to me and though there was a large group, it felt like a super intimate, sweet and surreal moment that I will always remember as if it happened in slow motion!

For the groom:

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

  • I like to do activities, so the best Saturdays for me are spent outdoors doing activities such as fishing, skiing, golfing, hunting, mountain biking, water sports on the lake, etc.

What do you love most about your wife?

  • I love how thoughtful and selfless she is! It comes so naturally to her and it warms her heart to be there for others.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

  • My groomsmen bought me an awesome Kimber 1911 45 caliber handgun that I got to shoot at targets at my buddy’s ranch with my groomsmen prior to heading to the venue!! Oh wait, this is supposed to be about my wife and I…I mean when I saw my beautiful wife walk down the aisle towards me.

"We had an incredible experience with Deep in the Heart Farms from start to finish! The Andersen family had such a beautiful vision of the venue and we got to see it come to reality from construction and renderings to real life! The venue itself is breathtaking and our guests continue to rave about the venue to this day. The Andersen family is so invested in the success of Deep in the Heart Farms as well as devoted to ensuring their brides and grooms enjoy every stage of their planning and each moment on their wedding day. They go above and beyond. Their passion shines through each member of their family! We adored working with the Andersens and cannot say enough good things about Deep in the Heart Farms!"

From the dress to the cake to the couple, every aspect of the Jenkins wedding was nothing short of p e r f e c t i o n . Thank you both for trusting the Andersen family and Deep in the Heart Farms to make your day special. Enjoy your six month anniversary and an entire lifetime of love to follow!
